With the help of your generous donations, a team of two brothers were sent into Haiti bringing the Shi'i of Haiti much needed relief that they were not receiving through NGOs. Below is just glimpse of the images they witnessed.
Tents, Medical Supplies and Hygiene Kits
Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas
Al Mahdi Islamic Center
Food, hygiene kits, and toys distribution
Construction of communal bathrooms from donations
Children of Haiti and the Orphans of Al Mahdi Islamic Center

Special thanks to:
Jafria Association of North America (JANA)
IEC-Houston & the MAHDI group
...and the private donors that made all this possible.
Salam my noble sister. You are absolutely right. We are suppose to help everyone. We start with our immediate families first, our extended families next, then those that have love for the Ahlul Bayt (a) -- this trend continues until we help everyone in need.
A noble effort to help the shia of Haiti, however, I would expect muslims to help anyone in need, not just muslims or specifically shia. In Surah Al Maida, verse 32, it says that...
"if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all of mankind"
Note it says a life in general, of anyone, not of a specific race, religion or sect.
